When I first started changing my diet in the pursuit of better health, dairy was one of those items that just had to go. I had never cared much for cheese, but I definitely had a soft spot for a rich and creamy cafe latte or cappuccino. Needless to say, I was really upset with what I thought was a permanent sacrifice. That’s until I discovered that plant-based milks can actually be quite amazing. Now, I use plant-based milks constantly in my creations, and the almond cow machine is slowly becoming my own personal  little Sous Chef. The first time I turned one cup of almonds into my own rich and creamy milk I was in love. It didn’t stop there either; since then I’ve had an awesome time experimenting with oats, hazelnuts, cashews, coconut, and walnuts to name a few. Add some cacao, dates, or cinnamon into the basket with your plant base and you’re in for an extra delicious treat 🙂 Good quality plant based milks can be a bit expensive, and cheaper brands often use a lot of fillers and sugar, but the almond cow makes it cheap, fast, and easy to create your own super healthy and delicious milks.

Made with protein-packed strawberry yogurt, frozen into heart shapes, then dipped in a crisp chocolate shell. They’re creamy, refreshing, and so easy to keep stocked in the freezer for hot days.

Save this recipe
Ingredients
• 2 cups Greek yogurt
• ¼ cup maple syrup
• 1½–2 scoops Collagen Protein powder 
• 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
• 1½ cups refined sugar-free chocolate chips
• Crushed freeze-dried strawberries or raspberries (optional)

Directions

Mix the Greek yogurt, maple syrup, and collagen until smooth. Fold in the chopped strawberries.
Spoon into heart-shaped silicone molds and freeze for 3–4 hours, until firm.
Melt the chocolate chips in a heat-safe bowl over gently simmering water, stirring until smooth.
Dip each frozen yogurt heart into the melted chocolate, letting the excess drip off.
Place on parchment paper, sprinkle with crushed freeze-dried strawberries or raspberries, and let the chocolate harden.
