3 simple ingredients and 20 minutes of your time is all you need to whip up some incredible Nutella. It’s homemade and tastes absolutely perfect. You’ll be topping everything off with a drizzle of this; perfect for your chocolate cravings in the morning.
Yup, it’s a 3 ingredient Nutella made from scratch. It’s never been easier and tastes a million times better than the store bought version.
I was absolutely obsessed with Nutella as a kid. I used to have it for breakfast whenever my parents would allow it lol. While it tasted like heaven to me, it really isn’t too good for you. 2 tbsp of the classic Nutella contains 21g of sugar, which means almost half the jar filled with refined sugars D:
It’s time for a healthier version, don’t you think?
This homemade Nutella is made with 3 ingredients, super simple and takes 15-20 minutes from start to finish. Pretty cool huh?
What you need:
- a food processor that can turn nuts into nut butters with or a high speed blender. I am still waiting for a Vitamix 😛 so for now I use my kitchen aid food processor. It is fairly cheap and works really great for nut butters. It takes me about 5-10 minutes to make completely smooth nut butter and Yum, it’s the best.
- Raw Hazelnuts – best way to enjoy them in my opinion, ROASTED! This is more of a necessity than a suggestion I think. After 10 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit in the oven, that’s when they release their natural oils and taste absolutely amazing and that’s also the reason why this healthy Nutella is so freaking delicious.
- Mix the nuts with some melted chocolate and you got yourself a heavenly spread. To keep it paleo/sugar-free I use Lily’s stevia sweetened chocolate chips. If you don’t mind it being even less sweet, you can either use unsweetened or semi-sweetened chocolate chips.
This Nutella is best enjoyed with:
- Paleo Mocha Waffles
- Vegan Caramel Ice Cream
- Energy Boosting Paleo Brownies
- Chocolate & Peanut Butter Muffins
- Banana Bread
….or just by itself! A spoonful of Nutella goodness, or a drizzle on some toast…just like old times 😛
