As the seasons shift, so do our cravings—bright and refreshing yet grounded and cozy, this Pomegranate Rosemary Gin & Tonic perfectly captures the spirit of transition. The delicate balance of tart pomegranate, earthy rosemary, and crisp gin makes it a stunning sip for chilly evenings or holiday gatherings.
Why This Cocktail Works
Gin and tonic is a classic for a reason: the herbaceous notes of gin meet the effervescence of tonic water to create something simple yet satisfying. By introducing pomegranate juice and fresh rosemary, this timeless favorite is elevated with vibrant flavors and a festive edge.
•Pomegranate brings a tart sweetness and rich jewel tone.
•Rosemary adds a savory herbal aroma, perfect for seasonal gatherings.
•Gin ties it all together with its botanical complexity.
How to prepare the cocktail
1. In a saucepan over medium-high heat, add together water, honey and rosemary sprigs, stirring to combine and bring to a boil, about 1-2 minutes. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for another 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
2. In a cocktail glass add 1 tbsp of rosemary syrup, 2 oz of gin, 1 tbsp of lemon juice and stir well with a spoon. 3. Add 4 oz of pomegranate juice and pomegranate ice cubes*. 4. Top off with tonic water and garnish with fresh pomegranates and rosemary. ENJOY!
Tips for a Perfect Serve
•For extra rosemary flavor, lightly bruise the sprig before adding it to the glass.
•If you’re hosting, make the rosemary syrup ahead of time.
•Use fresh pomegranate juice for the best flavor, or muddle pomegranate arils directly in the glass.
