Grapefruit Colada

This delicious Grapefruit Colada is so refreshing with the right amount of sweetness. It is quick and easy and takes only 4 ingredients to prepare. Perfect to enjoy when grapefruits are in season.

If I had to pick a cocktail I like to enjoy the most, I would have to pick the Pina Colada, hands down. I love the tropical refreshing flavors and rich creaminess, however, I am not a fan of the fact that it’s typically over-sweetened. Here’s my take on a classic Pina colada using fresh grapefruit and just a touch of sweetness. The rich coconut cream pairs perfectly with the tartness of the grapefruit.

It only takes 5 minutes to prepare and doesn’t contain the usual artificial flavors and refined sugars. It’s the perfect drink to impress your friends on a fun get together.

Yield: 2-4
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes

Here's my take on a classic Pina colada using fresh grapefruit and just a touch of sweetness. The rich coconut cream pairs perfectly with the tartness of the grapefruit.

Ingredients

  • 2 Grapefruits (peeled)
  • 1/2 cup coconut cream
  • 1-2 tbsp agave syrup
  • 1-2 oz white rum, gin tonic (optional)

Instructions

    Place grapefruits in a juicer machine and process into a juice. If you don't have a juicer, use a high speed blender and strain liquid afterwards.

    Transfer grapefruit juice with other ingredients into a cocktail mixer (or blender) and shake/mix until well combined.
    Pour liquid over a glass of ice. Enjoy immediately.
