Treat yourself to some of these delicious, berry flavored vegan valentine gummies…berrilicious? As always, they come without refined sugar and are free from gelatin. Want to impress your loved ones? This is how.
Ever wanted to try vegan gummy treats that aren’t loaded with sugar?
I gotta admit I was always team chocolate but when the opportunity presented itself I would munch down a haribo bear or two… or ten 😛
Well for all the health freaks out there missing the gummies, I came up with a healthy version that is completely plant-based and free from artificial flavors and refined sugars.
These vegan valentine gummies are pretty easy and require only 3 main ingredients. Berries, non-refined sweetener (paleo) and most importantly agar agar powder.
What is Agar Agar?
Agar Agar is a mix of carbohydrates obtained from specific kind of seaweed, called Red Sea algae. It has an odd smell to, it but doesn’t taste like anything when you add it into your food. It is very helpful when making things like tarts, jelly’s, marshmallows, etc. It has no sugar, carbs, fat or calories. It is free from allergens and is a good source of fiber, iron and calcium…almost sounds too good to be true huh?
If you’ve got some time on your hands, you’ve got to try these super easy vegan valentine gummies, or any of my other deliciously healthy valentine treats.
If you are intrigued, I’d love to see what you come up with :). As always, don’t forget to tag @delight.fuel or simply comment below.
