Chai spiced almond butter stuffed dates. Chewy, naturally sweet and incredibly rich. The perfect treat to bring to any holiday gathering.
Tis the season to fill your belly with lots of delicious holiday finger food treats. These chai spiced nut butter stuffed dates are my new favorite way of getting a chocolate fix in the shortest amount of time. You just stuff em with your favorite nut butter and dip them in chocolate. Literally the perfect dessert for a chocoholic like me.
What do you need:
- organic medjool dates. you can buy these pitted or pit them yourself with a knife lengthwise. While it’s probably more convenient to buy pitted, I prefer pitting them myself.
- use your favorite nut butter. I used this almond butter. I recommend using organic, pure not butters with zero addtivies.
- For chai flavor, add organic chai spice mix.
- To finish, dip them in your favorite chocolate. I like to use lily’s sweets stevia sweetened baking chocolate chips to skip the sugar. You can use semi-sweet chocolate as well.
Why dates?
Medjool dates are a great source of Magnesium, Selenium, Calcium, Potassium, and Copper. They are high in antioxidants and fiber which can help fight diseases. They improve digestion, brain health, skin and many more.
During my last few days/weeks of pregnancy I enjoyed quite a lot of dates due to their incredibly health benefits when it comes to labor.
Dates successfully mimic the action of oxytocin and bring natural contraction of uterine muscle during labour which can help avoid any unwanted induction.
If you are not crazy about dates, try these super yummy chai spiced truffles.
