Step up your Waffle game with these deliciously fluffy vegan gluten-free waffles. They are crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, and super easy to prepare. Best enjoyed with family and friends over an indulgent brunch.
As much as I hate to admit it, waffles are definitely a rare treat in our house, but every now and then I find myself experimenting in the kitchen 🙂 This is the second waffle recipe I’ve shared after my Paleo Mocha Waffles and they’re an absolute game changer.
They are not only gluten-free and dairy-free but also egg-free. Yup, no eggs, and still crispy AF! Plus they are so moist and fluffy inside. Drizzle some authentic Vermont maple syrup over that steaming stack and prepare for your mind to be blown 😛
The best part, these guys are one of the easiest waffles you’ll ever make. Throw all the ingredients into a high speed blender or food processor, process for a minute et voila, you’ve got yourself a beautiful waffle batter.
Vegan waffles
- One of the main ingredients in this waffle batter is gluten-free oats. I love using gluten free oats and oat flour in my baking. It has a very neutral flavor and blends in so well with other ingredients.
- To achieve a fluffy and moist texture I added unsweetened almond butter and bananas. The almond butter is so delicious and adds a little bit of a nutty flavor.
- For the recipe I used this Elmhurst Almond Milk, but I am sure any other plant-based milk will work as well or you could even make it yourself.
Elmhurst is one of my favorite store bought milks that I use in my cooking. Their unsweetened milks have two ingredients only and taste absolutely amazing. No artificial flavorings, no gums, no sugar. If you’re an Elmhurst fan like me, or simply want to try out an incredible milk, use the code: DelightFuel10 on their website (linked above) and stock up on some incredible plant-based milks with a 10% discount!
How to make these vegan gluten-free waffles
Preheat your waffle iron according to the instructions.
In a food processor add all wet ingredients and then dry ingredients. Process for about 1 or two minutes until everything is evenly mixed.
I use this waffle maker and scoop around 1/4 cup of batter into each waffle section of your waffle maker and cook according to the waffle iron’s instructions. If you have a different style of waffle iron, then you’ll need to defer to those instructions as well. Repeat this process until all of the batter is gone.
Serve while still warm with fresh berries and maple syrup.
