Citrus season is in full swing and the preparation and juicing of all the fruits is in full motion. From lemons, oranges, tangerines and grapefruits, you’ll be able find anything you desire during this season. I absolutely love this time of year and incorporate citrus throughout many of my recipes.
Here are some of my favorites citrus recipes from last year:
No-Bake Lemon Lavender Bars
Homemade Lemon Ice Tea
Vegan Blood Orange & Dark Chocolate Tart
Immune Boosting Juice
Vegan Citrus Tart
I’ve been loving the sweet, beautiful and juicy Vintage Navel Oranges that I buy from Sprouts lately. There is nothing better than enjoying a big fresh juicy orange. Wait, maybe there is….Turn them into these incredibly moist and fluffy glazed citrus donuts and you’ll be amazed.
If you’ve been looking through my blog, you’ll notice I am a big fan of baked donuts. 😛 They are super easy to make and I love that I can play with so many flavors.
While I already have a lemon donut recipe on the blog, I’m excited to add these gluten-free glazed citrus donuts to my collection. The vintage navel oranges that I got from Sprouts add a pungent but sweet flavor to these donuts. They are my absolutely favorite.
These donuts however are different from what you might expect. Due to the recipe being completely gluten-free, dairy-free and refined sugar-free these donuts are not overly sweet but just sweet enough to go back for more.
